Boston Seamstress Room

Step back into Estelle’s history growing up in Boston, Massachusetts. The Boston Seamstress features American Colonial furniture with a touch of modern art. Estelle was born in 1918 and attended Latin Girl’s High School in Boston. She worked at Filene’s Department Store as a young woman where she learned to sew a fine seam from the seamstresses in the alterations department. Harken back to a fashion era gone by with a collection of 1950’s and 1960’s stylish hats. The Boston Seamstress room features a wardrobe armoire for hanging and folded clothing and a full-sized bed. There is a large shared bathroom down the hall.
