Irene Roderick is a master at improvisational quilting, where she allows her inner knowing to guide her needle and thread. She teaches this intuitive technique to her students so they too will unleash their inner artist.

In this five-day retreat, we will begin with a work of art as inspiration for an abstract quilt design. It can be a painting you admire, a photograph, a graphic design, or anything else you find inspiring. We will be using the source as inspiration only for color and shape---not representing the work itself.

In this four-day workshop we will be playing with different sized Drunkard’s Path blocks, color grading, and wedges to create an optical illusion quilt. Jenny Haynes will guide you through the many possibilities while encouraging individuality and creativity.
