Estelle's UpstairsMulti-Bed Rooms

We have one double occupancy room (Misty Meadows) and two triple occupancy rooms (Ubuntu & Cherry Blossom).

Misty Meadows Room

Relax in the serenity of this spacious room decorated with botanicals and birds. The furniture is an eclectic mix - an elegant four poster bed, a stunning antique burl wardrobe, a classic Eastlake vanity chair- all blended beautifully with soft decorative touches. Estelle always educated herself on the birds of the area--an Audubon bird book commonly within her reach. She held a deep appreciation for and vast knowledge of these delicate and industrious winged creatures. The Misty Meadows is a double occupancy room with a queen-sized bed and a twin day bed. The room includes an armoire for hanging and folded clothing and a small writing desk. There is a large shared bathroom down the hall.

Our rooms are only available to retreat participants.

Ubuntu Room

Ubuntu is an ancient African word from the Zulu language meaning at its most basic, “human kindness,” but its meaning is much bigger in scope than that — it embodies the ideas of connection, community, and mutual caring for all. It is often described as reminding us that ‘I am what I am because of who we all are’. Estelle understood the value of building community through art and educational experiences. She had a deep knowing that creating opportunities for all people to thrive lifts our society to realize its untapped potential. The Ubuntu room features an eclectic mix of African themed patterns, colors, and decor. Delight in the joy of the many found treasures in this spacious room designed to be shared with friends. There are three single beds and a dresser for folded clothing. There is a large shared bathroom down the hall.

Our rooms are only available to retreat participants.

Cherry Blossom Room

Spring has sprung among this collection of Pan Asian furniture and decor. The Cherry Blossom room features Estelle’s Chinese imported coffee table and end tables, a Chinese writing desk, and wall paper bursting with a blooming orchard of cherry trees. A lovely collection of reproduction Japanese prints grace the walls. The room includes three twin-sized beds. There is a large shared bathroom down the hall.
